Dogs are very welcome at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen for a surcharge per night. Every dog even gets a nice welcome package with us! Unfortunately, other pets are not allowed in our park.

There is a maximum of 1 small to medium sized dog per pod, 2 small or medium sized dogs per forest cabin or 2 large dogs per lodge tent (deviation from this in consultation). Please contact the reception in advance at all times.

There are a number of Lodge tents with a lockable gate; 115, 116, 201, 209, 211, 212, 401. The Forest Cabins have a ring at the porch to attach a line to. ​

Dogs must be kept on a leash, both at the park and at your accommodation.

In the Luxe Pods, all Lodgetents and all Forest Cabin it is possible to bring a baby. In the Superior and Bush Pods it is not allowed, given the lack of space for a cot and high chair. A cot or high chair can be added at a cost when making a booking. Add this directly to your booking or book it extra via the ''My Area''.

The Luxury Pods and Forest Cabins have a microwave. In the Log Tents and Forest Cabins, the kitchen has a cooker. For crawling babies, some Lodgetents have a lockable gate. Book your Lodgetent with preference and choose from; 115, 116, 201, 209, 211, 212 and 401.
Tip: The winters in the Lodgetents can be very cold to keep babies well warm. We recommend opting for a well-heated Luxe Pod or Forest Cabin. Want to go for extra comfort? The Forest Cabins have two separate bedrooms!

Buitenplaats Beekhuizen is situated in the middle of nature and the terrain is hilly. All our accommodations are suitable for disabled persons and are wheelchair accessible by unpaved paths. There are ramps available that can be placed at the accommodation. However, there are no special facilities for disabled persons; there are no extra wide doorways, no adapted kitchen or bathroom and no handles or shower chair. Please contact the reception; the receptionists will be happy to advise you on the most comfortable accommodation in terms of space for movement. The parking lots are not located next to the accommodation; the reception is happy to check with you for the most convenient location.

 

There is one assigned parking space per accommodation in the park. The parking lots are distributed throughout the park and are not always located close to the accommodation.
Should you come with several cars, they can be parked on the general parking lot outside the park.
It is not possible to charge an electric car at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen. At Boutique Hotel Beekhuizen (located across the street from the Buitenplaats) charging stations are available which may be used by arrangement.
Alternatively, you can charge an electric car at the public charging station at Hoofdstraat 172 in Velp.

Accessibility by public transport is not very good. We recommend that you take a cab from Velp or Arnhem trainstation to Buitenplaats Beekhuizen, or use services such as OV bikes or Greenwheels.

For a fee, you can indicate your preference for a specific accommodation by clicking on the map, while making the reservation.

At each period during the year, accommodation is subject to different restrictions. The calendar on the website shows per accommodation type which day is an arrival or departure day. If you have doubts about the availability in the calendar, please contact our reception on 026-2020365, option 2, during working hours and we will be happy to check with you.

There is no arrival possible on the following days;
Easter Sunday (10 April), Ascension Day (18 May), Whit Sunday (29 May), Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December), New Year's Day (31 December) and New Year's Day (1 January). 

Check-in is from 15:00 to 17:00 at the reception.
The reception building is located at the beginning of the park, first right-hand building. You should first park your car in the car park in front of the park and report to reception. 
If you arrive after 5pm, please contact reception early by email or phone. They will provide further information on check-in after reception opening hours.

Check-out is possible between 08:30 and 10:00.
If you wish to check out earlier outside opening hours, please request this at reception so that they can give you the correct information. 

Check-in after 5 p.m. is possible upon request. Please request this in time so we can send you the information to check in yourself.

Guests are welcome at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen when there are still beds available in the accommodation. For a guest there are additional costs for bed and bath linen and tourist tax.

Costs for bed- and bath linen are added automatically when you make a reservation.
You will find your beds are made upon arrival and a set of towels will be available in your accommodation. In addition, there is one towel, tea towel and dish towel ready for use in each kitchen.

If you need additional bed - or bath linen you can purchase extra sets in 'My Environment'. When you stay longer than one week, you can ask for a free additional set at reception.

When you have lost or forgotten something at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen, you can contact the reception by phone at 0031 26 2020365 (option 2). The receptionist will check for you if the item has been found. When this is the case, the lost item can be sent to you, with shipping costs.

Spring

• Nature comes back to life; hear the birds chirping!
• Start of activities of Natuurmonumenten; sign up for a guided walk!
• Delicious barbecue at your accommodation; bring your own barbecue or buy a disposable barbecue at the reception. Coal barbecues are only allowed during Phase 1. On certain days, barbecue packages can be collected from the butcher at the reception. For this, keep an eye on "book extras" in the "My Environment".

Summer

• There are several water features at the park for the kids; a water pump, water stones and there is a small inflatable children's pool for sale at the reception. You can also enjoy swimming at the Rheden swimming pool or the nearby Rhederlaag lake.
• Diverse range of activities for children, families and adults where nature is always central.
• Enjoy lovely summer evenings on the WOODZ terrace.
• In August and September the heather turns a beautiful purple.

Autumn

• The forest is getting its beautiful autumn colors. Perfect for a nice walk or bike ride. Bicycles can be rented at the reception.
• Spot squirrels at the Buitenplaats.
• Long autumn evenings around your own campfire. Perfect to roast some marshmallows.

Winter

• All our accommodations are equipped with heating. (Luxury and Bush Pods; electric heater Superior Pods; underfloor heating, Lodge tents; Pellet or petroleum stove and the Forest Cabins are equipped with Infrared panels)
• Being together and really having time for each other. Enjoy a game at the property.
• Enjoy all the christmas lights and decorations in the park.
• Mulled wine and hot chocolate with whipped cream at Restaurant WOODZ.
• Enjoy a warm private hot tub at your Lodge tent with Wellness.
• Spot the Icelandic horses at Landgoed Beekhuizen.

Buitenplaats Beekhuizen rents accommodations for vacation purposes. It is not possible to reserve an accommodation for a longer period.

The outdoor pool works as follows:

We provide a clean bath filled with warm water. The bath will be handed over to you at 4.30 pm at the latest.

At our reception you can put together a wonderfully scented bag of bath herbs to take with you in the bath. The bath will be handed over in consultation with you and our Housekeeping between 13:00 and 16:30. You will then receive some tips and then you can finally enjoy these relaxed hours. Have fun!

From 13:00 to 22:00, the bath is reserved for you. This way you can make optimal use of this fun activity. Enjoy all day! Can't wait? Book the outdoor pool via 'My environment'. This costs €55.

Enjoying nature together and taking responsibility for its protection. That is what we stand for. As Buitenplaats Beekhuizen, we want to increase our impact and make a positive contribution to local biodiversity. We are therefore taking big and small steps towards sustainability.

This has made us decide to remove the fire bowls at the accommodations and implement a ban on open fire at the accommodations. Besides the risk of a wildfire, open fires produce heavy smoke and a considerable emission of harmful substances. This disrupts the ecosystem in many ways. We understand that the campfire at the accommodation will be missed but with this decision, together with you as a guest, we are taking a big step in caring for our environment. Restaurant Woodz offers a delicious menu and is a cozy restaurant. You can go to WOODZ for  lunch, drinks and dinner. Reservations can be made online or at the restaurant based on availability. Due to the limited capacity it is wise to make diner reservations.

Yes, we rent bikes with 7 gears (€ 12,= p.p.p.d.) from our partner VeluweActief. The bikes can be rented per whole day. There are also 2 electric share bikes available; these cannot be reserved in advance. 
The 7-gear bicycles are scarce, so if you want to be sescured of a bicycle, book this in advance in the "My account" at "Extras". Indicate well which days you want to use the bicycles, you are then bound by the reservation.

There is no covered, lockable bicycle shed on the premises. However, there is an open shed next to the reception where you can park your bike. It is also possible to park your bike next to your accommodation. It is not allowed to store (racing) bikes in the accommodation.

There is no laundromat at Buitenplaats Beekhuizen. Should you wish to do some laundry during your stay you can do so at Wassalon Vébé van Steijn Laundry on the Spijkerstraat 195 in Arnhem.
 

In the summer months you can enjoy swimming at;

• Outdoor pool in Rheden
• Recreational lake Rhederlaag in Lathum Dogs are welcome in low season (October 1 - May 1). 
• Recreation area Bussloo in Wilp Dogs are welcome in the low season (October 1 - May 1).
• Mariëndaal estate between Arnhem and Oosterbeek. Dogs are allowed to run loose almost everywhere here all year round and can swim in several places. You cannot swim here yourself.
• The Erkemederstrand in Zeewolde has a 1.5 km long dog beach. Here your dog can not only play, but can also have a nice swim in the Nuldernauw.

The "Biljoenbad" is a beautiful indoor swimming pool and is open all year round. You can find the pool on Gruttostraat 3 in Velp.

 

The total amount of a reservation is divided into two installments. The first installment must be paid on the day of making the reservation. The second installment must be paid a few weeks before arrival. This can easily be done in the "My Environment". When you log in, under the heading Reservation, you will find your reservation overview. At the bottom of this overview is an orange button; if you click on this button you can safely make the payment using iDEAL.

If you cancel your booking, according to our terms and conditions, you will have to pay the following costs:

€ 27,50 administration fee (per accommodation) for cancellation 2 months or more before the date of arrival.
50% for cancellation within 2 to 1 month before the arrival date
100% for cancellation within 1 month before arrival date
